An update on "Ka-Ru: Book Two: Stirrings of the Beast". First of all, I'm really tempted to abbreviate this title as "SOB", but I think we'll stick with "SOTB" to avoid any possible confusion with my late stepfather. So where am I at on SOTB, you might ask? We're looking at a launch date of 2019, but unlike the first book, there will be teasers, previews and giveaways as we go. In fact, if all goes well, there will also be a party-like event on release day. The first book took years to produce only because, while I had the story concept in my head for decades, I hadn't developed a proper outline before starting the project. As a result, I had to complete several course corrections while working. Add that to major life changing upheavals, and congrads my man! You've just transformed a fun writing project into an arduous experience that calls high school essays to mind. Back to SOTB...Book Two picks up a few weeks after the events

Welcome to Galenreads! This will be my ongoing repository for writing projects, pop culture musings and of course, updates on my novel "Ka-Ru: The Overthrow". This is not because I lack passion regarding the subjects of global warming, gun control, Donald Trump, abortion, illegal immigration, etc. I have a voracious opinion on all of those things, believe you me. But the way I see it, my readers are my guests and my guests aren't dropping by so that I can shove my political views down their throats. And since you asked, being a fantasy author does not an expert make when it comes to global affairs. So
